PAINTING IS AN INCREDIBLE JOURNEY THAT I HAVE BEEN ON SINCE I WAS A CHILD. I GRADUATED FROM SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT COLLEGE WITH A DEGREE IN ART AND TEACHING AND HAD FUN COMBINING TEACHING WITH A CREATIVE APPROACH FOR OVER TWENTY YEARS. NOW RETIRED, I VOLUNTEER AT FLORIDA HOSPITAL IN THEIR " ARTIST IN MOTION" PROGRAM WORKING WITH CHILDREN , COMBINING ART WITH THE PROCESS OF HEALING.

I AM ALSO A MEMBER OF THE CENTRAL FLORIDA WATERCOLOR SOCIETY. I HAVE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS SPENDING SPRING AND SUMMER IN CONNECTICUT AND LATE FALL AND WINTER IN FLORIDA.

I ENJOY PAINTING TRANSPARENT WATERCOLORS. I CHOOSE NOT TO USE BLACK OR WHITE PAINT. I LOVE THE PROCESS OF APPLYING LAYERS OF WASHES AND ENJOY THE WONDERFUL MOVEMENT OF WATER AND PAINT THAT ONLY WATERCOLORS ALLOW. NATURE IS A CONSTANT INSPIRATION IN MY LIFE AS WELL AS IN MY PAINTINGS. I FEEL BLESSED THAT THE MEDIUM OF WATERCOLOR ALLOWS ME TO ESPRESS AND CAPTURE A SMALL PART OF THE BEAUTY THAT SURROUNDS US ALL.
