Riverside Park Conservancy
On August 21, 2014, the Riverside Park Conservancy sponsored a free workshop about creating rain gardens, coastal buffers, and sustainable landscaping that protect local waters from pollution.
The presentation featured Michael Nadeau, founder of Wholistic Land Care Consulting, who also helped develop New England Organic Farming Association’s Standards for Organic Land and Lawn Care. Nadeau also toured three of New London's coastal parks — Riverside, Fulton (Winthrop Cove) and Greens Harbor — in order to generate ideas for restoring the landscape and improving stormwater management at those sites.
