On Saturday, September 15, the Riverside Park Conservancy, New London Landmarks and the NENL Neighborhood Association hosted the 2nd annual DOWN BY THE RIVERSIDE Festival. Thank you everyone who helped make it a great day - musicians Chris Brunelle, Bruce Gorman, Sue Mead, Carl Suiter, Cathy Yuhas, Hugh Birdsall, Trevor Giles, Lorain Ohio, Freer Wilson, Scott Mayfield, Jeff Hart, Alaa Safa and Diane Calano; flash mob dancer L'Ana Burton; bubble blower Derron Wood; park walk leaders Glenn Dreyer, Peter Miniutti and Madeline Schad; all the Plein Air painters; League of Women Voters for voter registration; New London Kiwanis for the bicycle helmets; Drop-In Learning Center for RIF books; TVCCA Head Start, Groton ECDC and Riverfront Children's Center for children's activities; Captain's Pizza for feeding the bands; BigFeatz Skateboards; Adam Campos; Acacia McDowell; all the volunteers who helped set up and clean up; and the City of New London Public Works Department and Parks & Recreation Commission.
